Free Custom Mock Data Generator

Create up to 100 reproducible test records with country-based cities and sample names. Choose your fields, use a seed to repeat a dataset, then copy or download JSON, CSV, or PostgreSQL SQL.

Configure records

All generated values are synthetic examples.

Cities use the site's bundled city list for the selected country.

Synthetic records generated with your selected settings

Only fields selected above appear in the preview and exports. Generated values can resemble real-world names or places; use them for development and testing only.

What is a mock data generator?

A mock data generator creates example records that help developers and QA teams build and test software without copying production customer records into a development workflow. This tool creates names, reserved example-domain emails, cities, and job roles entirely in your browser.

How developers use synthetic test data

Use these records to fill interface previews, check table layouts, exercise import flows, seed a local development database, or test how an application handles multiple rows. The generated values are not verified identities, and should not be used to contact people or create real accounts.

How seeded generation works

Seed algorithm v1 hashes your seed with a stable 32-bit FNV-1a hash and uses Mulberry32 pseudo-random streams. Each record field has its own stream, so changing the selected columns does not change the generated values for the other fields. Keep the seed, country, field order, and count to reproduce the same dataset. Changes to this algorithm or its bundled datasets may change future results.

JSON, CSV, or SQL?

  • JSON preserves named fields and works well with APIs and JavaScript fixtures.
  • CSV is convenient for spreadsheets and import tools; values are escaped and the file includes a UTF-8 byte-order mark.
  • PostgreSQL SQL creates a mock_users table and inserts the previewed rows. SQL output is specifically for PostgreSQL.

Privacy and data limitations

Generation and exports run locally in your browser. This feature does not submit records or seeds to a backend. Emails use reserved example.com, example.net, or example.org domains. Cities come from the site's bundled country dataset. Localized name lists are available for English, Spanish, German, Japanese, and Indian name patterns; other countries use the documented English name fallback. The data is synthetic but can resemble real people or places and does not guarantee privacy compliance for a particular use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reproduce a dataset later?

Yes. Use the same seed, country, record count, selected fields, and field order. The page shows the effective seed used for each generation.

Can I generate more than 100 rows?

Not in this version. The maximum is 100 records per generation to keep the tool quick and convenient in a browser.

Are the generated email addresses real?

Email addresses use reserved example domains and are intended as non-deliverable test values, not contact details.

Does the SQL execute on a server?

No. The tool only creates a downloadable PostgreSQL script. It does not connect to or execute queries against a database.
